Hi and thanks for visiting!
My mom always said that she named me Jennifer but I also go by Jenny and Jen.
I'm a very happily married gal with two kiddos, 5 dogs and 60+ chickens. The kids school at home so it's usually crazy here.
I started calling myself Home Ec Mama because I got it into my head that my daughter needed to be taught all those things that aren't taught in Home Ec at school anymore. Teaching my daughter to take care of a doll for a week is NOT my idea of preparing her! Just what are they preparing our young ladies for anyway??
I attended French Pastry School classes in Chicago because I thought I wanted to be a pastry chef. After working in New York for 6 weeks at a very famous restaurant, I decided that was not the path for me. I still love baking (and eating) breads, desserts, chocolates...
I am completely self-taught when it comes to quilting. I began at Christmas in 2013. I'm a work-in-progress. Aren't we all?
I live in Oklahoma which is both good and bad. We have all four seasons but that includes HOT summers and icy winters.

As a family, our favorite place to visit is New Hampshire. We drive from Oklahoma to N.H. every May. The White Mountains are truly beautiful and we're able to reconnect and recharge.
I've started this blog because I want to remember all the quilts I'm completing. Even though I've only been quilting one year, I've already forgotten some that I've given away!
I love America. I grew up when everyone loved America. There may be a political comment here or there because that's who I am.
I love God. He has blessed my life in more ways than I could ever explain. I am a Christian but I have a hard time sometimes with churches. People can give God a bad name :)
